New Mom

October 29, 2008 cosby5

I was so ready to have Kylee I couldnt stand it. How much of a difference will 2 little feet make? Dont get me wrong I am excited and I love motherhood but the whole meaning has changed. Not only do I have to deal with Kelby and his bad habits of throwing/kicking everything(mainly food) but at the same time I have feed Kylee or get her to stop crying. It is sometimes overwhelming. Today I took Kylee back to Henderson to have her hearing retested because she failed in her left ear the first time, which by the way she passed both ears!!!, when i got home it was time to get Kelly off to work and then have the kids to myself. Kylee’s reflux was really bothering her today so she cried off and on for 3 hours straight while Kelby kapt telling me to put her in her bed and hold him and when i told him he could he decided to pee in his pants. So I had to put her down and clean him up afterward I held Kylee and got her calmed down then Kelby decided to dump all of his potato chips on the floor and step on them. After putting him in time out and cleaning up the mess while Kylee was screaming I took time to thank God that I am not a single mother. How to single mom’s do it ALL day every day with no help? There is no possible way. Kelly helps ALOT when he is here (which during the week isnt much) but it gives me sanity. I praise all single mom’s out there… You are alot stronger than I am.

Honey, it gets better… for the most part. Heh.
I felt the same way when Mark was traveling all the time… I HATED it! Now, when he travels (which, thank God, isn’t very often… maybe once or twice a year) it’s not so bad, just because the kids are that much older. It is nice having an extra pair of hands, isn’t it!
